Algeos & PPL Biomechanics agree new Partnership in Republic of Ireland

Algeos and PPL Biomechanics are excited to announce a brand new partnership that will see the distribution of a selection of Algeos’ materials and chosen brands of lower limb devices into Ireland from the 1 March 2021.

Algeos and PPL share a common belief in developing high-quality products to serve their wide customer base, with excellent customer service at the heart of everything they do.

So, what does this mean?
  • PPL will stock brands including Slimflex, Interpod, Diaped, Peapod, Silipos and Podotech components
  • Algeos materials will also be available through PPL such as Aortha EVA, PORON and other selected materials based on the needs of customers
  • The selected Algeos products and materials will complement PPL Biomechanics' existing product range of lower limb solutions
  • PPL will also be able to provide technical support on these new products.
The two companies are working together to provide the best possible service and solutions to the Republic of Ireland, with the following measures in place to ensure an efficient service:
  • Customers will be able to place orders from the 1 March, when it is forecasted that there will be stock of most foot orthotics, Silipos Active and most key materials
  • Algeos and PPL will work with customers to understand their individual needs
  • In light of Brexit and Covid-19, there may be some disruption with regards to processing orders for some products and materials, however the new partnership will minimise some Brexit-related costs and improve the “flow of product” by PPL holding stock levels for timely deliveries.
Algeos will continue to supply innovative technological, workshop and clinical equipment directly into the Republic of Ireland.

Max Sheridan, Commercial Director at Algeos commented, "We are delighted to partner with PPL to provide a flexible solution that ensures our products continue to be available in the Republic of Ireland. PPL will be distributing our key foot orthotic and material brands, removing the complications that have been recently introduced due to Brexit.

“PPL have a great track record of supporting multidisciplinary Private Practices and the HSE and I’m sure the partnership will be hugely beneficial for our mutual customers in the future."

Joanne McKenna, Managing Director at PPL Biomechanics, added: “At PPL, we understand that the realities of Brexit in accessing essential supplies from the UK is causing many Irish healthcare professionals headaches and worries regarding costs and practicalities.

“We are therefore delighted to announce a partnership with Algeos which will deliver an Irish based practical solution to accessing some of your essential supplies.”

Algeos and PPL look forward to this exciting partnership and working to provide the best possible solution for our customers.
