Offloading Training Workshops

Posted by Thomas Twomey on

Offloading is now recognised as the key factor in both the prevention and management of foot ulcers. Alongside the complexity of managing the acute situation, podiatrists are faced with the dilemma of how to offload, and which products to use. As you may know, PPL recently launched the TCC-EZ system into Ireland and were lucky enough to host a launch masterclass day with the renowned Dr. Jeffrey Jensen in Merlin Park, Galway. We have also recently expanded our range of Offloading and Wound Care solutions including Aircast walkersDARCO rockers shoes and Even-ups.

Many of our customers working in the high risk area have said they would like some additional training from a biomechanics rather than wound care perspective. In the new year we are planning to run "Offloading Study Day/Workshop" programs around the country, where we will look at offloading principles and options. The program will be mainly workshop based and focus on the prescription, fitting and application of offloading products.

Before finalising dates, locations and content, we would like your advice and feedback to help us to formulate the best plan for these training sessions. If you are interested in attending an Offloading day we would be most grateful if you could complete the survey by following the link below. We thank you in advance for your assistance and look forward to hearing from you.
